How CouponHub Actually Works
No hidden agendas. No shady affiliate tricks. Here is exactly how we operate, how we make money, and what we will never do.
How We Make Money
When you click a link on CouponHub and make a purchase, the store pays us a small commission. This is called affiliate marketing. It costs you absolutely nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you come from CouponHub or type the URL directly.
We partner with affiliate networks like Awin, CJ Affiliate, and others. These networks handle the tracking and payments between us and the stores.
That is our only revenue source. We do not sell your data. We do not run display ads. We do not charge stores to list their codes.
What We Will Never Do
After the Honey scandal exposed how coupon extensions hide better deals and steal creator commissions, we want to be crystal clear about our principles:
What We Do Instead
The best deal is always shown first, regardless of what we earn from it.
A transparent 0-100 confidence rating based on user votes, code freshness, expiry date, and usage data. You can see exactly why a code is rated high or low.
Every code gets thumbs-up/thumbs-down voting. Real users confirm whether codes work. We surface this data, not hide it.
Every submitted code is reviewed by a human before it goes live. We do not auto-publish unverified codes.
Expired codes are visually marked and deprioritized. We do not leave dead codes sitting at the top of the page for months.
How Codes Get On the Site
Codes come from three sources:
Regardless of source, every code goes through the same Health Score system. A code from a direct partnership does not get preferential ranking over a community-submitted code. The algorithm treats them equally.
Your Privacy
We keep it simple:
When you click through to a store, standard affiliate tracking cookies are set by the store and its affiliate network. This is how the store knows to pay us a commission. These cookies are between you and the store, and we never see your purchase details.
Questions about how we operate? We are an open book.
